This was the last treatment prescribed after calcium blockers swelled my lower extremities and had ghout after my other treatments. . I felt better with bendroflurazide but after gout which I had been prone to (my first attack at 18 after a glass of port!) My GP would not prescribe again for me. But my blood pressure was down to 135 with benfdrofuazide. Which I would prefer to go back to and put up with the severe pain of GOUT!! DHC works wonders!! Nothing like Codiene at all, so don't worry folks! Also* There is no ceiling effect like codeine! On the negative side, tolerance can build within days. If I were to make a comparison for those who haven't heard of Dihydrocodeine; I'd says it's the UK's version of our "Hydrocodone (Vicodin,etc)". The two are quite similar. I have been taking Lutera for 3 weeks now and I have never been so tired. No matter how long I sleep I yawn all day, I cant stay focused and I have no energy. I would not recommend this pill to anyone. It was not even prescribed by my doctor the pharmacy gave it to me as an alternative. I will be changing this as soon as possible.

I had a surgery for a hammertoe correction and they gave me a lidocaine shot before starting to numb me and it did nothing to numb the pain. They increased the dose and it still didnt work. I have also used lidocaine patches in the past for my back and have not felt any relief from them.
