I was prescribed dexamethasone for severe inflammation in my tonsils when I had mononucleosis. I was unable to swallow and had difficulty breathing due to my enlarged tonsils, but the dexamethosone improved the swelling significantly very quickly. It made me very hungry, but I had also lost a lot of weight from my illness, so this side effect was not bad for me. I have been taking a teaspoon of turmeric powder daily with food for 18 months. Excellent anti-inflammatory. Very useful in reducing body fat, possibly suppresses appetite as well as seeming to help fat with reduction. With vitamin D3 it apparently enhances the immune system.I've had no colds or infections for well over a year now.

I find the lorazepam relaxes me when I feel that life is out of my control and restores my respespective regarding the situatuion that caused me the stress. It helps me sleep when things will not leave my head alone but goes around and around in my head.
