Esipram (Lexapro) saved my life. I had suffered major chronic disorder for 18 years and no other anti-depressants helped. Some (Prozac) made it worse. I was taking tranquilizers every night and seeing a psychiatrist at least weekly. The anxiety attacks were horrendous and nothing helped. I still cannot believe the difference Esipram made. The doctor gave 14 days of Levaquin for sinus infection. After 3 my lowerback/hips, thighs, knees all hurt. Also every joint in my body hurts. I took 6 days of it and quit. It helped my sinus infection, but I can't hardly walk, especially if I have been sitting for a while. Also, I had a horrible taste while taking it.

Since menopause at age 58, I weighed 135 lb. I quit smoking 2-1/2 years ago and gained 15 lb. Lost that 15 lb. but then was diagnosed with emphysema 6 months after I quit smoking. The symptoms your son was experiencing may have been the result of a bacterial infection, as opposed to allergies, which is probably the reason your eye specialist prescribed the antibiotics. This is example highlights the importance of getting a diagnoses from a health care professional before self-medicating.
