I do weekly immunoglobulin subQ infusions. I used Chloraprep once a week, prior to insterting the 5 needles that are necessary for 1 treatment of immunoglobulin, . For the past 18 weeks, I've been using Chloroprep and have suffered with huge (4-5 inches) and burning welts at each infusion site. The welts would last for 2-3 days and required me to use prednisone and Benedryl to reduce the itching. My skin around the hives was very sensitive and felt like it had gotten very sunburned. I have light headedness but it is improving. I have noticed a decrease in my hematocrit but do not know if it is caused by the diuretic effect. I have also noticed a slight weight increase.

Before I discovered Zyrtec my allergies were not controlled. Since Zyrtec has been in my life I know that I can control my allergies and that even if taken after my allergies are 'full blown' it only take a short time before they are under control. Having tried EVER other allergy medication I would be lost without Zyrtec.
