I have gotten terrible muscle weakness and joint pain. I have taken this medication for 1 year and 1/2. I have gone through a serious of test to try to detect the cause of my pain. I have used Medrol Paks every 8 weeks to help. Recently I read the disclosure sheet that come from the pharmacy with my levothyroxine. Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.

I was diagnosed with a stomach virus and was prescribed this by my doctor. So far, I have had no real complaints besides the slight dizziness and the pain in the stomach. It helped my nausea, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it really worked that well overall.
