Doctors seem to hand this stuff out like candy to kids. When my kid started with asthma we went alternative and got her off the drugs ASAP--I really regret getting hooked on Ventolin all those years ago. My daughter is fine now--no symptoms at all. Her doctor was really thrilled and really surprised. She was off meds in 3 months after being really bad, and with a family history...I was lucky he was supportive; most docs aren't.

I take Klor-Con in combination with other medications to control hypertension. I really do not know which, if any, of my medications are responsible for the aches/pains/bone joint weakness. However, they together control my high blood pressure, so I endure the slight discomfort. Other medications that I've taken for years, include Isosorbide, Furosemide,Amlodipine Besylate and Metoprolol. I would suggest asking for ANY alternative before taking this drug. I was switched to another one with no better/worse help but none of the foggy head, lethary, and weight gain. 30 pounds in two months could be dangerous for some people.
