I am a 42 year old woman who suffers with heavy periods and have done for most of my life! I recently started taking Norethisterone to help with my periods, which has helped. I suffer with anemia due to heavy periods, so regularly take Ferrous Sulphate, however this upsets my stomach and makes me feel ill, so I try and take the liquid form which combines Vit C with the Iron. It's interesting...It definitely makes me feel MUCH better. I initially caved into "drugs" after dealing with horrible panic attacks for two years. I tried to stay away from reading reviews because I knew I wouldn't take it then. I have to tell you, I have definitely gained weight, and whether it's from this drug or personal eating habits, I don't know. The best form of birth control medication I have ever tried. The only thing that I don't like is having to remember to take it everyday. I tried Nuva Ring for a few months, but I had an allergic reaction. I switched back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo, and it has been great ever since. My cramps hardly exist, my periods are short with a very light flow, and my mood swings are under control.
