I have been taking Effexor XR in combination with Lexapro for 5 years. Recently deciding to fast and cleanse I stopped taking both meds. Please do not stop abrubtly as I did. Follow the advice of your physician and wean off the meds. I experienced extreme withdrawls including sleeplessness, flash headaches, nausea, extreme sadness and suicidal thoughts. Herplex was the best. I get cold sores when under stress or with a fever. If I felt the tingle and took a couple for a day or two they would dry up immediately. Why oh why did they take it off the market.

I guess the insulin injections lower my blood sugar, it is just satisfying enough. The thing is that I have to take it everyday, and injections, I don't really like it!

The doctor says that my blood pressure is good, but sometimes I feel tensed and stresses, weak, tired, out of balance, and chest pain mostly at night.. I also have an increase hearthbeat. I must say that the medication works, but too many side effects. So at the end of the day, what is the point of having such a medication which increases and decreases your well-being at the same time?
