Common Uses:

This medication is used to relieve seasonal and year-round, allergic and non-allergic nasal symptoms such as itching, runny or stuffy nose, postnasal drip and sneezing in adults and children 4 years of age and older.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Nasal dryness or irritation;
Nausea;
Vomiting;
Wheezing or cough.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in people with:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients;
Recent nasal ulcers/trauma/surgery;
Tuberculosis, untreated or active infections, herpes infection of the eye, decreased adrenal gland function, eye disease (glaucoma).

It is also not recommended in pregnant women; women planning on becoming pregnant; and nursing mothers.

Drug Interactions:
Other forms of corticosteroids (e.g., oral prednisone, inhaled triamcinolone); Natalizumab;
Drugs affecting the removal of fluticasone from your system (potent CYP 3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, ritonavir).

About Fluticasone Nasl

The generic name of this medication is fluticasone propionate and brand name is Fluticasone Nasl. The active ingredient of this medication is fluticasone propionate and inactive ingredient is lactose (contains milk proteins). This medication is used to relieve seasonal and year-round, allergic and non-allergic nasal symptoms such as itching, runny or stuffy nose, postnasal drip and sneezing in adults and children 4 years of age and older.

About Fluticasone

Fluticasone propionate is a potent synthetic corticosteroid often prescribed as treatment for asthma and allergic rhinitis. It is marketed with the brand names Flixotide and Flixonase by Allen & Hanburys, and Flovent, and Flonase by GlaxoSmithKline. GlaxoSmithKline also markets a combination of fluticasone and salmeterol as Advair (US) or Seretide (UK).

It is also used as a cream or ointment for the treatment of eczema and psoriasis (Cutivate UK).
