I have been reflecting on why at 34 do I have such a decrease in libido and researched via google to find several studies on bc. When I entered Balzivia all of these reports came across with many of the same issues over time of use. Now as I reflect the past seven years, alot began to make sense. Why the change in my mood, personality, overall person? Why was I diagnosed as bipolar and never was before? Why was I hospitalized so soon after having a third child with the man of my dreams? Whe they changed my birth control pill became the answer! Weight gain from 125 to 169 at the highest, bad cholesterol reports, moody emotional roller coaster to the point of hospitalization, and arrest! Ive never had issues before this pill! Its always been close to my cycle these things have happened as well. It all begins to make sense! Talking to my doc soon!

After reading these comments, my obgyn and I will be having a long discussion. If I find that the past seven years of my life being a roller coaster from hell is bc of this pill...there may be a law suit. Ive been hospitalized for a suicide attempt, diagnosed bipolar, arrested for simple assualt, weight gain from 125 to 160 ish bc its up and down 155 to 168, mood swings from hell, the only thing this pill has done is keep me from getting pregnant again and control bleeding some what. With clots, cramps from hell...I just thought Ive had to suffer from having a vagina and mood would just always be an issue. Sex drive is non exhistant and has been since my third child. This is when they changed my pill from orthotricylen to balzivia due to break through bleeding. Ive also had three small cysts in my left breast pop up. Im paraniod anxious and now pissed as hell it couodve been this pill all along! Now I have a diagnoses that may not be true bc i havent taken those meds in forever bc of their effects and cost, significant weight gain, sex drive is gone, and my family pretty much hates me that I have become since I had my youngest child. Which all points back to two changes...the pill and another child. I dont think its the chiod doing it all!

I have mixed feelings about this pill... I took Balziva for 5 years and didnt notice any immediate side effects. After being off of it for 3 years now, I have noticed my hair has become much thicker, longer and has stopped falling out in the shower (for the most part). I have people complementing me on how much better my hair looks now that it is finally back to normal. I was going through puberty at the time I was taking Balziva and now, looking back, I noticed I went from 118lbs to 129lbs... So I'd say it didnt really effect my weight all that much (being that I was going through puberty, my body was changing and i was in highschool; im sure it happens to everyone). I did get a little bloated when i took the sugar pills. And I did from time to time get sharp pains in my side but nothing was ever found to be wrong (possibly another annoying side effect looking back). I would say that overall it wasnt a bad pill to get my periods regulated being that it served its purpose. I would not be willing to go back to this pill just incase the weight gain was in fact due to Balziva (the world may never know). I am looking for a newer pill that will not make my hair fall out now that it is finally back to normal and that will hopefully not effect my weight. Good luck!

Worst pill ever. Don't understand why it's still on the market. I was on Ovcon but they switched it at the pharmacy claiming it was same thing-it's NOT. I've has horrible mood swings, depression, anxiety, bloating, five pound weight gain, no sex drive, etc...I guess in that instance it's the best birth control out there because you're so bitchy and feel like crap most of the time so no one wants to be around you. Stopped taking it and within a few days felt 100% change. I thought I was going crazy but no its was all this little pill. Since I've stopped taking it I feel like my old self-happy, upbeat, able to cope, able to sleep, bloat has gone away and even lost a pound. I feel great NOT taking this pill so much horribleness packed into those tiny little things. They are not the same as the Ovcon. Never taking this pill again it's the worst!

I strongly do not recommend this drug. My wife 27, started taking Baziiva for her endometriosis prescribed by her doctors PA. After 3 weeks I noticed a drastic change in her emotional stability. She complains about chest pain, finds herself weeping crying in the middle of the night for no reason, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, she feels completely depressed. One minute she's smiling and laughing the next she's hysterically screaming and crying. I have noticed her isolating herself from friends and family and even missing work due to her depression. I know everyone may have different reactions but for something like this to happen to my wife is completely horrifying and I cant understand why something with side effects like this is still on the market. This is the first time I have ever reviewed anything but I feel like this drug is truly dangerous and her experience should be shared with anyone considering Balziva.

I had the same reaction to this drug. I stopped taking it a few weeks ago and still feel like this. Do you know how long it took your wife to start feeling normal again?
