I was on Prozac for over a year when I first started taking it. My mother says I seemed to have a better attitude and I was altogether getting better. Then, in December 2008, I abruptly stopped taking it. I had a host of withdrawal symptoms and worsening depression and thoughts. I have been taking this medication for a few years now and I think all of my high blood presssure and water pills and potasium medication all work together. So far I have seen good results and have not had any side effects to any of these medications. I am very happy with where all my levels are at this point.
