I not a good drug to take for any pain. But can be taking for some certain health conditions.

This medication saved my life. My pain was so bad after a motor vehicle accident in which I was hit from the rear while stopped in my car at a stoplight that I was forced to stop practicing law and take disability retirement. The driver of the truck that slammed into my vehicle had fallen asleep at the wheel, and sped down a hill before plowing into me. The pain got so bad almost two years later that I could hardly work and was not being treated for my pain. I was dealing with so much pain (many herniated discs in my cervical and thoracic spine, bone spurs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and constant headaches and neck, shoulder, back, and jaw pain from continually spasming muscles), and stress at work, and was not being treated for the pain. I had always been an optimistic person, a hard worker with a high pain threshhold, but one day after many days of severe pain and no sleep, I felt the only way out of the pain and stress was to kill myself, so I tried. Fortunately, my attempt did not work, and I got good counseling afterwards and quit working. Morphine gave me wonderful pain relief--the pain relief is not total, but it relieves about 60-75% of the pain. I am very, very grateful.

At first it really seemed to be working, then suddenly began making me terribly ill. Severe head pressure naseau, couldnt move or even breath heavily without feeling sick. Horrible, Horrible metal like taste in mouth, also mouth very very dry. Last but not least sudden Edema in legs and feet that sent me to ER
