I have been using Flomax for two years. At first took every day. After the first couple of days, I noticed I was better able to empty my bladder, allowing for fewer trips to the toilet. July 2009 was when I noticed that my menstral cycle was freaking out and there was no more 28 days in between. I was lucky to get 18 days. Also, they were lasting longer - instead of 5-7 days, they were 7-10 days and heavy cramping, bleeding, and pain. Now - I am 40 years old. I take this during the winter and whenever I'm around people who have colds, flu etc. It really seems to work well as a preventative. Once, when one child came home from school very sick with some croupy bug, my other child and I took Jade Screen for the duration, and my husband didn't. We both had just a slightly sore throat for half a day; he got really, really sick. Can't remember the last time I got a cold; and I used to get bronchitis regularly--but not anymore!

This medication does not make me feel as drowsy as the other variaitons of Benadryl that I've taken in the past. However, it does not seem to be as efficacious or as fast-acting as Benadryl in relieving my hay fever symptoms.
