I took Lupron Depot in 12/09 prior to hysterectomy to shrink a fibroid. Never worked and now I have developed hashimotos and continued breathng problems. I had a complete physical in 5/09 and was in excellent health except for heavy periods due to fibroid. Wish doctor had give me birth control pills instead. Do not take this drug unless you have no other options.

I was on 125 mg and reduced down to 100 mg over about 4 weeks (yes very slowly) and my jerky limbs side effects have gotten worse. I also find my sleeping patterns are all over the place. But I feel so much better than before that I don't want to stop taking them.

I had 2 shots of depo to help with my severe PMS. Whilst I was on it, I didn't notice a huge difference but when I decided to stop taking it, I never had a period for 11 months. I put some weight on whilst having the shots but put on even more weight after coming off it, gaining 2 stone in total. I am 43 and have always weighed 8 stone and have also been lucky in being able to eat whatever I want without gaining weight. d oly thing i dont like about it is it can drop ur sugar level in ur blood too low and dat can be dangerous but dat in most cases can only happen if u take it without eating
