The generic name of this medication is tretinoin and brand names are Altinac, Atralin, Avita, Renova, Retin A Micro Gel, Retin-A, Tretin-X.

The active ingredient of this medication is tretinoin and inactive ingredients are benzyl alcohol, butyl paraben, butylated hydroxytoluene.

This medication is used as topical treatment for acne vulgaris.

The Renova brand of tretinoin is used to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles and mottled skin discoloration, and to make rough facial skin feel smoother.

24 Aug 2010 I switched from using Renova to Atralin to save money. The Atralin has a higher tretinoin percentage. I liked Renova's cream, but the Atralin gel seems to go further so I use the amount prescribed. The Atralin is more drying, but I understand this effect should go away.

23 Oct 2009 When first using Atralin, my skin became very dry and began to peal. A moisturizer is needed when using this product. After a couple of weeks the dryness of my skin decreased, but the sensitivity remained. For Atralin to work properly, one must keep a regular schedule of application of this product. It is a product that makes things worse before it gets better.
