I've been taking Agomelatine for around 4 months now (50mg per day) in a UK based clinical trial. I had taken paroxetine for 12 months immediately prior to this so feel I can make a good comparison between the two. Firstly with Agomelatine i've not noticed any side effects whatsoever, its almost as if you arent taking medication at all, although in saying that it's not been very effective in reducing my depression and anxiety either, although it does help me sleep easier. I was having cramps and my doctor recommended Naproxen as a safe and stronger pain relief. It seems to be helping with the pain, although not a full relief from it. I would recommend this for someone who can not handle the harsh side effects of a strong pain pill but needs pain relief stronger than over the counter Tylenol.

I do seem to have suffered from more side effects this episode but I was having to take the drops half hourly for a week and then hourly each day and night for 2 weeks before weaning down to 3 times a day now.
