Cymbalta change my whole well being. I have blurred vision, severe short term memory loss, anxiety and an electrical shock like sensation when ever there was a loud noise or I was startled. I was taking Cymbalta for nerve pain, which it did help for the first two weeks then all hell broke lose. Stopping Cymbalta was terrible even though I was only on the Cymbalta for 4 weeks. At first the drug didn't work. However when I started taking it regularly, same time everyday, it worked. My doctor told me to not drink anything 1 hour before I took it or 8 hours after I took it. That was a major pain and sometimes I found myself dehydrated.

Having taken Wellbutrin for several years, I find it does help with keeping my mood better overall. It does not cure the depression, and I am not what I would consider "functional". I still am frequently mentally "overloaded" and shut down. I can handle little pressure. Life in the slow lane is all I can handle, and even that is still too much sometimes.
