Oxycodone HCl is far and away the best drug available in the UK for chronic pain. The problem is the blatant lie on box and PIL that the duration of action is 12 hours. In my experience I begin to feel pain at around six and am in agony again by 6.5-7 hours after taking. My doctor refuses point blank to issue me recue medications which I have to obtain through other services than the NHS. I was prescribed tussinex for my cough when I got bronchitis, it works great! It stopped my cough immediately and lasts about 4-5 hours. It does make me very sleepy though, but I still recommend it.

My thyroid shut down 15 years ago, but after treatment with Levoxyl it started working again and has TSH, free T3, T4 levels have fluctuated ever since (though that was not recognized as normal 15 years ago). It supplies needed thyroid hormone, but does not address autoimmune problem that started it.
