My doctor recommended Lantus. It is more expensive and less effective than the NPH I was taking. I was on 2 injections per day before Lanus. Now I have to take short acting insulin before each mean and Lantus before bed. I feel like a pin cushion and my blood sugars are no better. Taking the extra insulin has caused weight gain. It's a horrible drug that is ineffective for pain. The doctors in my area prescribe it regularly as their drug of choice for pain. They refuse to give their patients anything better. It's awful.

Accutane is a great drug to control acne. My acne has almost cleared up completely from using the drug. My side-effects are dry, itchy skin and dry eyes. I believe the positives outweigh the negatives in my case.
