Hey, I am starting to think about the side-effects of Depakine in the long term - the slowdown of brain fucntion, hair-loss, later kidney and liver demage and concentration. I am only 28 now, was 25 at the first episode. And I am really aware of the long-term slowdown of the brain.

I have noticed more energy since using Testim. No difference in libido. I have noticed a slight drop off in energy after the 6th week. I have started regular light exercise and have noticed muscle growth. Some shoulder muscle pain, but that may be due to exercise. My major concern is hair loss. I was loosing some up top, but have noticed that it has increased. Will get blood test in February to see where my T levels are now (was 200). Can I take Propecia to offset the hairloss due to Testim?

I cut down to .25mg per 3x/day now. been a long ride. never take a benzo over a 10 day period. if your Dr says it is ok, fire him/her. it is not. only good in high doses long term for extreme disorders of siezures in the young. not for anxiety, sleep, etc. don't start it ever. there are some benzo's that are immpossible to get off of according to my neurologist. in a few short months i should be free and clear of this nasty drug. a very well known and respected Dr in this area presc... I was on Junel for a 2 or 3 years. I absolutely loved it. I went through a year and a half of hit and misses with many different types of birth controls. I did not gain weight, I actually lost a lot of weight and maintained a great weight or have depression. However, I did have a difference in my sex drive right before I quit taking it due to money troubles.
