Changing to this synthetic analogue, described to me as "the greatest thing for Type 1 diabetics" by my diabetic team was a decision I now deeply regret. The side effects were extremely debilitating - extreme fatigue, memory loss, joint & muscle pain, feeling as if I was in a foggy toxic state all the time despite good HBA1c results. I was originally prescribed pills that only contained 0.030 mg of synthetic estrogen for extremely painful cramps (and also hoped that they would help control some of my bad acne). I experienced some breast tenderness, and the acne hardly cleared as we had hoped. I was soon switched to MonoNessa, which has 0.035 mg of the estrogen in it, and I think it has worked wonderfully.
