Doctors changed me from generic Levo to Tirosint. Was fine for the first 6 weeks. At the 6 week mark began to experience pain in my foot which became severe nerve pain, numbness, and tingling in both feet over the course of a 3 weeks. Taking this drug made me very ill, after 5 weeks of taking it with no apparent side effects and being pleased to have given up smoking I suddenly started to find my legs shaky, in the next 6 weeks the side effects increased, I experienced severe panic attacks, constant shaking and muscle spasms, muscle weakness, pain in my joints and heart palpatations, to name only a few. I had been having sleeping problems for many years and I have been taking this medication for over 10 years now and I like that i have a normal sleeping cycle now. The only thing that I do not like is that I feel drowsy in the morning when I want to be fully awake.

My mother, age 85, was taking Prednisone for pulmonary fibrosis and it caused congestive heart failure and she died about 3 wks after she started taking it.
