I got my thyroid radiated 9 yrs ago and went hypo soon after. I was prescibed levoxyl but I have never felt the same. I still have a goiter but smaller. I'm often cold and have low energy but my hands shake and at night I have trembling in my torso and arms. If my thyroid was radiated, is some of it still active and can I switch to different meds.? A year ago I started to notice painful bumps under my left armpit. I had gone to several doctors and they had given me a different antibiotic than Doxycycline. It had been a reoccurring problem for me so I just recently visited the dermatologists where he did tests and found it to be a MRSA infection. How did it go with the gyno? There was some evidence in the trials that women who already had HPV when they got the Gardasil shot had a very significantly higher risk of developing cervical cancer. Merck shuffled the trial data to make the numbers go away - I'm sure some of the 're-dos' were legitimate, but hmmm - and got the increased risk down to where the FDA would approve it although they expressed concern. When first diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, the extreme tiredness meant more hours spent in bed than out. tasks were set on a daily basis in order to get general household chore complete, washing dishes ect. On waking I could be awake for around 3 hours, then will need to go back to bed. With using carbimazole, I am able to stay awake for the whole day and complete multiple general house hold chores.
