I am on day 8 of prevpac for h pylori gastritis. Diarrhea, strange taste in mouth and dry mouth started from day 1, but they did not bother me so much. From day 6 I started stomachache and severe fatigue, tachycardia. I am wondering whether I should stop the med. I learned that in Japan this same combination of medications are prescribed only for 7 days as the standard treatment for h pylori and there is much higher incidence of h pylori infection in Japan. the first time i tried it, it was FANTASTIC - but my blood pressure shot up and i was taken off - i got my blood pressure down. about a year later, i was so lethargic from Paxil, I promised to watch my blood pressure if i could take Effexor again, but it didn't feel as FANTASTIC - it was just OK.
