When you are in intense pain-as I was you would do anything- If they had said they could cut my arm off I would have said yes please.This drug DID work for me- I was taking 600MG a day!! Didnt realise what a massive dose this was- It was brilliant for pain control but they dont tell you about withdrawral symptoms. I was forced to take this drug for a colonoscopy after I vehemently told the Dr that I didn't want it and to use a painkiller and not an amnesiac. He told me he knew best and just used Versed. I have IBS, I was wide awake in excrutiating pain, tears were running down my face and I tried to scream that I felt like a weedwhacker was turned on inside of me, but I was totally paralized!!! It worked very well. I was having bad ear aches and congestion. I started taking it after my doctor told me to try it. I had tried many different medications before it and it was the only one that made me feel better. The only problem I have with it is that it is very harsh on the stomach. It gave me really strong stomach aches and cramps.

My aunt (in her late 50s) took Zyrtec for a short time 3 yrs ago. She said it worked well but she lost her sense of taste - nothing for 3 yrs. I guess there's no way to fix this - has anyone heard of a way to fix this?

I have been told to take stool softeners and the occasional laxative to help with constipation which worsen the bladder feeling. For the past month I have taken 3 stool softeners every night before bed time and the don't help. The stool become so hard, when I wipe I find blood from the lining.
