I am about to switch BC. i feel so emotional with this and i have 2 periods per month since taking this. i hate it... the doctor just says give it more time... but its been a little over a year and i have "spotting" or "period at least 2 times a month. thats more then i used to have before taking it!

I would tell someone to take it because it makes me feel better. I after I eat and my reflux is controlled. Even when I eat food that causes more reflux, my reflux is well controlled with the Prilosec OTC.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I do weekly immunoglobulin subQ infusions. I used Chloraprep once a week, prior to insterting the 5 needles that are necessary for 1 treatment of immunoglobulin, . For the past 18 weeks, I've been using Chloroprep and have suffered with huge (4-5 inches) and burning welts at each infusion site. The welts would last for 2-3 days and required me to use prednisone and Benedryl to reduce the itching. My skin around the hives was very sensitive and felt like it had gotten very sunburned. A year ago I started to notice painful bumps under my left armpit. I had gone to several doctors and they had given me a different antibiotic than Doxycycline. It had been a reoccurring problem for me so I just recently visited the dermatologists where he did tests and found it to be a MRSA infection. I cut down to .25mg per 3x/day now. been a long ride. never take a benzo over a 10 day period. if your Dr says it is ok, fire him/her. it is not. only good in high doses long term for extreme disorders of siezures in the young. not for anxiety, sleep, etc. don't start it ever. there are some benzo's that are immpossible to get off of according to my neurologist. in a few short months i should be free and clear of this nasty drug. a very well known and respected Dr in this area presc... I found amoxicillin to be very helpful when I had bacterial and ear infection. It gave me a speedy recovery most of the times. One bad experience I had with it was during the fall of 2009 when I got a bacterial infection. As I took it, I began to feel nauseated and had head aches later that night.
