After trying several other medications, Amrix was the first to relieve the intense constant pain in my head. I was extremely tired the first couple of weeks after I started taking it. I used Zicam a lot whenever I started to feel sick, and I think it worked (it can be hard to tell because the cold was only developing, but it never got any worse). Unfortunately, I used the Zicam Q-tips as well and lost some of my sense of smell. Now I do not enjoy food as much because I cannot taste it.

Have serious concerns about this drug.Causing extreme pain in all muscles.My Mum was able to walk three month ago, now she can barely stand up. Her back, arms and legs ache constantly, worse at night. She was diagnosed with an essential tremor years ago.I have never seen her like this, despite the tremor. My thyroid lvls were low so doctor prescribed this to me 25 mg. once a day. I noticed a weight gain immediately, headaches, severe joint pain, my throat felt swollen or like a lump was in it and overall negative effects. I had a hysterectomy the same month the doctor prescribed this so I am unsure if its the levothyroid or effects of no hormones...maybe a little of both. The tender breast, and bloating were not pleasent as well as the sever sensitivity to emotions, mostly crying to Disney commercials. Other than that it did do its job in preventing pregnancy.

I am in my final week of the 3 month treatment. I've decided to stretch the final week into 2 weeks - taking one dose a day, instead of two. I believe the withdrawl will be a little easier (hopefully). Chantix certainly did take away the urge to smoke, I haven't had a cigarette since October 24th. (I actually stopped the first week).
