I've been on Retin-A before and didn't have much success, but I was recently put on it again and have been a lot more successful with it. No real complaints minus the fact that it does not clear up old scarring.

My doc and I are still trying to work out the right dose to combat the sleepiness that my antidepressants cause (I've tried many - all make me sleepy). On 75mg, I can get through the day but am exhausted at night when it wears off. On 150mg, I feel fantastic - have tons of energy, am happier, a little less hungry (which is great considering the weight gain that's happened with trying so many antidepressants), but I lay awake at night for hours. I have experienced the rare side effect of visual disturbances each time I have taken this drug. The central visual disturbances are now geting too much for me and I am considering quitting taking it. It has taken myself and my GP some time to eliminate my migraines and my other medication, Topamax, from causing these unwanted side effects.

This was by far the worst experience of my life. I had taken other BC pills off and on since I was a teen and even though some were slightly bothersome, they were tolerable - I am now 35 and can't believe how awful this particular pill was.
