I was given oxybuprocaine to numb my eyes at an opthamology eye exam, after receiving the drops I started to have convulsions. My head was completely bent back, my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and I was grinding my teeth. The convulsions lasted for hours on the day of the eye exam and returned sporadically the next day. I have been taking diferrin for quite some time now. At times it is very effective, but at other times it can do absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, it makes my skin very dry and red. My skin begins to peel. This can be combatted with use of moisturizer. My skin sometimes hurts from it being over sensitized by the medicine.
