With Bactrim (generic) I get immediate relief from my chronic prostatitis symptoms. However, during my last two bouts with this condition, I have also had my high blood pressure drop into the normal range. The first time, the drop was extreme so that I discontinued the high blood pressure medication for about 3 months before it returned. First time i have tried mucinex, usually fight off broncititus atleast twice a year, yes each major weather change spring and fall. Usually takes me 3 weeks to finally get back in gear each time. Tried mucinex this time took the extended release type 600 twice a day, it worked BUT I do have a warning to pass along. This was a very expensive drug that did absolutely nothing for me. It didn't prevent an oncoming migraine when taken at onset, nor did it dull the pain once the migraine was full blown. I didn't experience any side effects, but it did nothing for the pain.

Claritin changed my life. I had terrible "seasonal allergies", and unfortunately, my allergies were problematic spring, summer and winter. I am an active athlete, and my performance was greatly effected by my allergies. Since taking Claritin my allergies have all but gone away, and I can lead a normal life.
