See my mother's Alz experience above. She got into trouble with only 3/4 of a .5 mg tab a day. When I insisted Mom be sedated for invasive procedures at a hospital ER room, they figured they'd give her a full day's allowed dose at once, so that would be 1.5 mg. That put her in LaLa land allright. I was grateful they used it on this occasion. Overuse of this drug could have stopped her breathing. 22 mg in one day. Good grief. I was given this prescription by my dentist. I have to take 4 pill prior to going in to have my teeth cleaned or any dental work done because I have a fusion in my back and if I dont take the medicine prior it could cause a severe interaction with my blood and the metal in my back. It makes my stomach hurt when I take it but to me that is better than taking the chance of getting the infection

I have been taking Buspar (Burspirone) (5mg) for 6 weeks. I take 1-1/2 tablets (7mg) twice a day. I immediately noticed a warm feeling when I first started but after a month or so I didn't notice it as much. I have PTSD and anxiety has been a real problem for many years. I was on synthroid from 2003 to 2006 and I still had fatigue, brain fog and was still cold all the time. I complained to my endocrinologist and since he declared my labs "perfect" he could do nothing for me, when I inquired about Armour, he said he would not prescribe it. My original dosing was only once a day, but around mid-afternoon I felt horrible and my symptoms were worse than ever. My psychiatrist switched me to one in the early morning and one in afternoon and, ever since, the change has been ridiculous.
