I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... This stuff is useless! I have mild asthma, also exercise induced. This product as well as the other HFA Albuterol mixes just does absolutely nothing for my asthma.

I have been taking quasense for over a year and love it!!!! I skip the placebo pills every 3 months and go straight to the reg pills so I do spot a little every few months, but its better than bleeding for days and having all the other symptoms that go along with a crappy period.... My only complaint is that even the generic is expensive! Walmart has sprintec (generic ortho-tricyclen) for $9 and I pay over $100 for quasense every 3 months. Otherwise no negative side effects that I am aware of... View full comment
