Yaz was the worst birth control I had ever taken. The only thing I was grateful for was the increase in bust size! If I missed a pill one day and took two the next day, I would feel as if a truck hit me - the headache and nausea was absolutely unbearable.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I switched from Diovan to Micardis five years ago and started having "eye disturbances" (I know now they are optical migraines) so my doctor changed my dosage to 40mg in the morning and 40 mg in the evening and this worked great for several years but in the past year I have had more of the disturbances usually when I break the pill and it's not equal but I have also noticed my vision (previously 20/20) getting worse and worse.
