after reading several difffernt sites about the side effects of femcon, i think i have an explanation for my extreme nausea, sudden blurred vison, joint pain, ridiculous weight gain and digestion problems. however, i just saw my obgyn last week, told her of these issues and no connection (except the weight) was made to femcon. also, i am a runner and since starting on the femcon i have had an acute problem with joint pain and fatigue durring my runs, thus causing me to run at a slower pace... I was pissed when my insurance company pretty much forced me to buy the generic (a 3 month supply of ortho lo is $115 vs.$10 for the generic). Being a student, I can no longer afford the name brand BC I trust! HOWEVER, since being on tri-sprintec lo, I have not had ANY side effects. It's just like being on Ortho tri cyclen lo - minus the cool click pack. It's only been one month so far, but, so far, so good. My advice: try it, it just may not be the end of the world! I've been taking Agomelatine for around 4 months now (50mg per day) in a UK based clinical trial. I had taken paroxetine for 12 months immediately prior to this so feel I can make a good comparison between the two. Firstly with Agomelatine i've not noticed any side effects whatsoever, its almost as if you arent taking medication at all, although in saying that it's not been very effective in reducing my depression and anxiety either, although it does help me sleep easier. I've noticed a lot of leg cramps, but I don't know if it's related. My sleep can be more erratic, but it never was perfect. My breathing is much better and being active is much easier. I was active before but it made me out of breath a lot. Overall it's a good thing but does seem to lower sex druve ime.

I was diagnosed with juvenile osteoporosis at a very young age. I broke a number of bones in my chest, back, feet, and arms. I wore a back brace for many years because I kept breaking bones in my back and my chest. I have been taking calcium ever since and my calcium levels have stabilized. I’m doing much better and I don’t break bones as much as I used to as a kid.
