Even at the highest recommended dose, it doesn't work a full 24 hours. It does cause extreme drowsiness about 30 minutes to an hour after taking, so I take mine at bedtime. It is also quite expensive if you don't have insurance.

At first, the medication caused nausea, so the doctors reduced the prescribed dosage for me and since the dosage was decreased, nausea also decreased and went away. Prominent side effects included constipation and weakness and there were multiple other mild side effects that went away as the dosage was decreased more.

Over time, more side effects have developed and I'm considering having my doc try me on something different to see if the side effects are related strictly to this drug as it is the only one I'm currently taking.

I was prescriped Niaspan, but since I do not have drug insurance, the cost was prohibitive. I searched the web for a lower cost niacin and decided to try the Endur-acin because it was also extended release, came in 500mg doses, the cost for 500 tablets was $42.00, and other user comments made me feel it would be just as good. I puta paste of honey on my face inorder to remove acne aswell as tone my skin, instead my face had a rash and the acne seemed to be worse.

I have been coughing frequently and violently for approximately 10 years now. I used Flovent for several years and it has not stopped my cough at all. IAt my insestence I was recently given samples of Advair 250mcg from my pulmonologist. He did not believe it would stop my coughing.
