I believe I have recently acquired allergies, because I have been sneezing more than ever and getting teary eyes very often. After taking just one pill of Aller-Clear (loratadine), my symptoms went away within an hour and I was allergy-free the whole day. Got me out of severe depressive episode, but still experience afternoon depression sometimes. Don't like side effects either - cold all the time, OCD/paranoia/racing thoughts 2 hours before time for next dosage, extremely drowsy all day if take medicine in morning (have now switched to taking it at night). Because of afternoon depression, am also switching to new antidepressant to take with Geodon.

THIS DRUG SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET!!! It causes PERMANENT sexual dysfunction, swelling, fatigue, depression and sleep problems. Contrary to what Merck claims: these side-effects are NOT temporary. There should be a full investigation into how this drug got approved. It has completely destroyed my life! In 2003, I attempted to commit suicide as a direct result of the drug's after-effects. Other people are telling similar stories on the internet.
