I have found since I have been taking Betahistine that I have had shortness of breath on several occasions, which can be pretty scary. My mouth and throat feel quite dry a lot of the time, but that isn't such a big deal. I have noticed also that my nails have been 'peeling'. I don't know if this is related but it has never happened before I started taking Betahistine - and I have a pretty healthy and varied diet.

FYI Ladies - I have been treated for massive blood clots throughout my body because of Seasonique. The doc told me after 3 months I could go back to the gym - well went twice and developed lesions. I go to my son's FB game and within 30 min have 2nd degree burns. I am now on 2 inhalers because my pulmonary embolisms in the heat and humidity of summer make it virtually impossible to catch my breath. Seasonique isn't worth the risk. I was looking for something that would help take away my heartburn fast, and this seems to work well. A lot of my friends use it as well ( we are within the age range 20-30). It does take time for it to work, but when it does it works well.

This drug is absolutely wonderful for improving COPD symptoms but I have had to stop using it due to the severity of the side effects: anxiety, depression, insomnia.
