This is a horrible drug that caused all kinds of side effects and made me miserable for the last 2 years. Started taking it due to gastritis from NSAIDS. Tried Pepcid first but got acid breakthrough after 1 month. Tried 10 mg capsules of Omeprazole, but they had a nasty aftertaste. Bumped up to 20 mg, then 40 mg. Constant bloating and abdominal pains. I was taking one tablet before, and I went to the doctor to told him about the side effects of the drug. He advised me to rest for about 10-15 minutes after breakfast. Even though my blood work comes back normal, I am still cold most of the time when others around me are not. I am told being cold is a side effect of hypothyroidism. So I don't know if that was supposed to improve while taking Levothyroxine or not.
