I was prescribed Lupron to stop my periods, which were always painful with heavy bleeding. Since I was in treatment for early stage breast cancer, it was also recommended to control the estrogen, which helped to produce my tumour. I had had two 1-month shots and I am never taking this drug again. I can stand the hot flashes, the exessiuve sleepiness in my case and the feeling of weakness in the muscles. I would get off of these drugs and go for acupuncture and herbal treatments. It's not worth the side effects. When I took lisinopril for 3 months, I felt like I had the flu the entire time. My BP was only high at the PCP's office because they always managed to tick me off before I got in to see the Dr, then had to wait an hour or more. I showed the Dr the list I kept of my BP when I took it when I wasn't there and it was usually around 100/60-120/70.....I don't think I ever needed this to b... View full comment

I used Zicam a lot whenever I started to feel sick, and I think it worked (it can be hard to tell because the cold was only developing, but it never got any worse). Unfortunately, I used the Zicam Q-tips as well and lost some of my sense of smell. Now I do not enjoy food as much because I cannot taste it.

I was on the study that had Enbrel approved by the FDA. I received great care at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, MA. I was willing to try anything to improve my desperate health situation. When I joined the study I was basically bedridden. The risk of side effects is well worth the relief from pain and the regained mobility.
