I was on the NuvaRing for 4 years and I loved it. Little to no cramps, 2-3 day light periods. Everything was great. Suddenly I started getting yeast infections. The first one was the last week before my period. It went away when I had my period, but came back three days after I put in a new ring. And lasted for 2 weeks. I take Accutane for my severe facial acne. I love how well it clears up my face. There is an extreme noticeable difference in my skin and self confidence. It can have some rough side effects though. The medication often makes me feel queasy and nauseous. I also get moody at times because of it but I think it is worth dealing with to receive the benefits.

When I had appendicitis, I was prescribed Extra strength tylenol for pain which gave me rapid pain relief which is what I really needed. However, it did make me very sleepy.

This is a great birth control. It does affect sex drive, though. It's nice that injections are every three months instead of a pill everyday. The injection site does hurt for up to three days after day of injection. Have had no period, cramping, bleeding, bloating, or headaches for a year now which is great!
