I was prescriped Niaspan, but since I do not have drug insurance, the cost was prohibitive. I searched the web for a lower cost niacin and decided to try the Endur-acin because it was also extended release, came in 500mg doses, the cost for 500 tablets was $42.00, and other user comments made me feel it would be just as good. Taking Lupron shots to make me go into menapause so I can take Aromasin for breast cancer. Fatigue is bad. Hot flashes, sweats, chills, fever off and on, depression is bad, now my hands/fingers are numb/tingling and hurt. I hate this drug. For 4 days after I get the shot I am in bed, I cry and I"m depressed and I feel so sick like I have the flu and I hurt all over. I think this drug is killing me.

Medrol has been the one prescription that seems to help right away. The up side to this drug is it takes away the pain the inflammation makes and gives me energy. The down side is the potential side effects can be very bad.

After a blood clot in my kidney the doctor prescribed me coumadin and it supposedly reduced the clotting in my blood, i had no side effects beside the easy bruising which was expected from the medicine.

Wow, Tom, I hope I am playing basketball at 75 too. I agree though, my Dad never took anything and he looks about 60 even through he is 78. I use a lot of indian herbs like amala, awhwagandha, and Gotu Kola which seems to keep me running, but my basket ball game aint what it used to be. Nice site here. Thanks
