I think it is a great medication that really helped me quit after almost 30 years smoking. But the first step to be successful is to really want to quit and then Chantix will help with the effects of withdrawal. In my case the side effects were not strong enough to take me out of the path to reach my goal. It is worth it to try.

I have been told to take stool softeners and the occasional laxative to help with constipation which worsen the bladder feeling. For the past month I have taken 3 stool softeners every night before bed time and the don't help. The stool become so hard, when I wipe I find blood from the lining. I have horrible sneezing fits that I attribute to allergies. Sometimes up to 10 sneezes in a row. While using Zyrtec the sneezes have subsided slightly but not gone away. After a couple of hours my head returns to a stuffy state and I have to take medication again.
