I have been on it for about a year. It is convenient and I can trust its efficacy. However, i've started keeping track of my moods, and I must say that at around the 5th-7th day of a new pack I am extremely irritable. Extremely. Prior to taking Lunesta my sleep pattern was irregular and unhealthy. I'd sleep three hours and was tired constantly. I am a typically hyper person and so I always desperately wanted to sleep but often was unable to. Once I began Lunesta I couldn't believe how much better everything went. It got me out of a severe depressive episode, for which I am grateful. However, I still experience bouts of depression, often in the afternoon. So it is likely not a long term solution for me. When taking Benadryl, my allergy symptoms disappear but i often experience extreme dizziness and vertigo. I am continuously fatigued and can never get a good nights rest no matter how tired i am.
