Been on it 4 days. Black stools, severe heart palpitations and dizziness. Can't sleep. Have read up on side effects on internet. All of these are possible and then some. No muscle/tendon problems, though. Will contact physician on Monday to discontinue this med.

I was given oxybuprocaine to numb my eyes at an opthamology eye exam, after receiving the drops I started to have convulsions. My head was completely bent back, my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and I was grinding my teeth. The convulsions lasted for hours on the day of the eye exam and returned sporadically the next day. From the first day I tried it, i had sharp pain in my nose. I tried to spray it in my nose in many different ways so that it wouldnt cause pain, like slightly away from my nose or inside my nose but spraying slowly. Nothing helped or made it better. So not only did I still have allergies, but I had tremendous pressure and pain in my nose.

I had pneumonia in July and about a week after I got better from that, my legs began to ache and swell. They've hurt and stayed swollen all this time. I've been seeing 3 doctors and none have been able to tell me why. I heard about this Levaquin thing today and called my doctor to see if that was one of the meds they'd given me as it sounded familiar. Sure enough. They prescribed Levaquin for me July 21, 2009.
