I have been taking this drug for about 3 years and I have had not many severe symptoms or adverse reactions. It has fufilled the prescribed purpose- preventing pregnancy. My only complaint is more bloating than I had prior to birth control and a decreased sex drive (but maybe that's a good feature- as it would help prevent getting pregnant).

I had taken Marax in the mid 70s and as a 16 year old "in charge" of her medication, I probably took more than prescribed and suffered severe anxiety attacks. Sometimes so debilitating, I wanted to jump out of my skin. Then I would crash and thought I was going to die. Be careful if you take Synthroid for Hypo-thyroid disease..... talk to your doctor before starting Claritin. My blood pressure went up all of the sudden after always being good.......when I stopped the Claritin it went back to normal. It scared me.

It is common to experience some stinging or burning when you place the drops in the eyes. However, I hope the burning didn't continue afterward. If the burning doesn't subside after a short period of time, you should seek medical attention to ensure you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients or experiencing some adverse effect.
