I did not find this drug to be effective in treating my hurtburn as a matter of fact it upset my stomach and i had to ask my doctor to prescribe me something else.

This medication relieved the pain but as a side effect irritability and slight mood changes were noticed and it became slightly addicting, so it wasnt taken anymore to avoid these effects.

I am currently expiriencing severe back problems and it's a dilemma. The M.D prescribed (Morphine Sulfate) which is used to treat agonizing pain. I was told to take it (bid), of course running the risk of possibly becoming addicted to the narcotic. I took it as prescribed by necessity and recommendation. Terrible! Try getting off this medication! It messes up your brain chemistry. I ended up in the psych ward after the terrible anxiety after trying to taper off. I did not alleviate any nerve pain that I had or still have. It's cousin Lyrica is just as dangerous! I would not suggest either of these meds. Antisiezure meds should be used for that purpose only. Stage 4 RCC Left kidney removed in Oct 2008. Metastasized to stomach cavity 2010. Treated with Sutent since early June 2010. Side effects unusual but not out of the ordinary based on info Ive read. As of today It seems to be helping but probably to soon to tell for sure. I feel fairly well and have been working right along so thats a positive. Attitude is good as well as support from those around me.
