I had been taking Zyrtec for about 5 years and before that was taking an older form of Allegra. As many allergy sufferers know, these and all allergy medications only work for a short amount of time before your body becomes immune to the effects. I can honestly say after three months of Xyzal, I have been symptom free since day one. I was hospitalized after my pulse went through the roof when I took Zomig. It was attributed to an allergic reaction, so unfortunately this triptan is no long available to me (I still take Maxalt and Imitrex). However, my dad takes Zomig regularly and does quite well with it when he combines it with a painkiller.
