This is being given to my child to fight a MRSA infection that required surgery. We are hoping to get her switched out of it if her MRSA is susceptible to something else, as the side effects are really unpleasant. Her finger and toe joints are swelling and itchy; she throws up unless given anti-nausea meds; she's not eating; she sleeps a ton. That said, MRSA is also very unpleasant so sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Hi. Just want to share my experience. I took Candex as indicated for about 2 weeks. I experienced pretty severe diarrhea the entire time. I work at home. I would not have been able to do this if I was not able to be flexible with my time. It got to a point where I had to stop anyway because of the frequency and severity. Was on Ortho tri Cyclen Lo before my pharmacy and insurance company switched me to this generic brand. I experienced a serious decrease in sex drive, which continues to this day. Besides that, the price is much better, and my menstraul cycles are scheduled to the day and time. I did not notice any significant weight gain or loss from this pill. It's worth trying, but if your libido changes as mine did, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
