Tums helps alleviate minor stomach problems. However it does not help for anything which causes a lot of pain. It helps with minor annoyances. Yes it does help some pain go away, but it isnt pain that is unbearable, it is just as easy to wait out the pain.

This benzo is a joke! Doc's are just being cautious by trying these alternatives, thus, not having to prescribe Xanax, Valium, etc. Stand up and tell your doc the truth if isn't working the way you would think

After my two surgeries (few years apart) I received Vicodin on both occasions and yes, it did take away a great majority of the pain, however, i was puking nonstop due to the nausea that my doc only advised me to take if absolutely necessary since I was so sick due to it. While hospitalized for a severe kidney infection I received a morphine injection and felt a slight rush through my body. I was numb and couldn't feel a thing, was very comfortable. After leaving the hospital I felt nauseous (although I always feel nauseous when it comes to pain killers) and tired, but still very good on relieving pain.

Trazodone has helped with my insomnia and has made it easier for me to sleep. It also does not make me groggy in the morning when I wake up. However, I see a significant difference in effectiveness depending on what pharmacy I get it from.
