Moderately effective pain relief, but wasn't strong enough for my specific case. I was in recovery from an internal-external hemorrhoidectomy, which is extremely painful. My surgeon recommended Oxycontin or Percocet, but my physician, knowing my history, advised against prescribing a more addictive drug, knowing my potential for dependency.

Azelastine Hydrochloride, also known as Astepro, has worked really well for me. I tried Omnaris before I tried Astepro. Even though I lean forward like the instructions say to do, I still get a very bad strange taste in my throat and tongue. I'm pretty sure that it is because it drains down into my throat, but the first time I tasted it, I had a hard time getting the taste off my tongue. It greatly relieved the itching I would get from my skin rubbing on certain surfaces or materials that would use it. However, I try not to "overuse" it on one spot as I feel it changes the color of the skin.
